Winter in Waternish

Waternish is open for business from November to Easter.

Christmas and Hogmanay are particularly enjoyable and include village festivities at the Hall. The Stein Inn and Lochbay Seafood restaurant are open, cosy and have delicious food and drink. Other eating places to name a few, are in Dunvegan, Portree, Greshornish, and Ullinish.

The scenery is spectacular and Waternish is conveniently situated to go on half day or whole day exploring across Skye. Waternish offers walks, rambles and scrambles in the immediate vicinity.

Here at Lorgill we can offer packed lunches and flasks of hot drinks with cleaning and drying and storage facilities for gear – and a selection of walking poles, fleeces and wet weather gear if you need more. It’s fantastic countryside, however it can rain and be boggy under foot – hey! If you’re well layered up, it’s a doddle!.
